Play with Fire: The Alchemy of Yoga

Limited Capacity seats available

As truth seekers and yogis, we are already alchemists. Alchemy’s metaphorical transformation of materials from base metal to gold, of beings from mortal to immortal, of our very essence from ego to enlightened, aligns beautifully with the practice of yoga. A mix of scientific principles, religions, magic, spirituality, metaphor and mythology, alchemy’s end goal manifests in yoga as one of surrender, self-realization and freedom from suffering. Playing with the alchemical fire encourages just that.

In this 60-minute class, we will make the most of change in our lives, embracing both destruction and new beginnings. We will move through a strong vinyasa practice in The Kaivalya Yoga Method, generating heat to awaken the body’s energetic channels. An emphasis on the seven chakras will heighten our consciousness and support the union of opposites. Guided meditation will lead us through the fires of change and toward the divine spark we hold within. Expect music, laughs, hands-on adjustments, serious yoga, yes; yoga taken too seriously, no. This class may be challenging to a beginner, but is open to all levels.
